The Ecological State And A Bio-Sphere Centered Paradigm

Within my book “Cosmopoly” the entrusted resources state system would be based on the fact that human beings in our natural state of existence are fundamentally members of the natural order of things and, therefore, just another of the many species on our planet. We human beings as a species not only share the world with each other but with all of the other species on our planet.

But, because of our arrogance, we see ourselves as being separate and disconnected from our biosphere. In reality we are all interconnected with our biosphere and what affects the natural order eventually affect the things that depend on it as well. Our biosphere contains our natural resources, which are the foundation upon which all social institutions are able to physically develop themselves. They are the building blocks from which our social world is created.

As the source of all social development our natural resources must always be kept as the fundamental center from which all of our institutional activities evolve. Therefore, the health of our natural resources must become the measuring agent by which we gauge our human activities.  Human societies’ domination of our biosphere has historically resulted in it being exploited by the political entities that live upon it. This must be reversed if we are to survive.

Reading this made me have flashbacks of the movie Avatar when the blue aliens connected their pony tails to various sections of the forest much like we connect a usb to a computer. We mustn’t be arrogant in thinking natural resources are unlimited. The level of species extinction is now as high as the last catastrophic mass extinction episode and this is due to people’s uncontrolled ravaging of the natural world.
